At FLEXX, we are always looking for opportunities to learn and grow professionally within the event industry. This year, Phil, Kara, and Jenna from the FLEXX team were able to attend The Special Event (TSE) in New Orleans!
As one of the industry’s largest tradeshows/conferences, TSE introduced us to new event professionals, vendors, and mentors. We always enjoy learning about others’ processes and procedures to continue to better our own. Moreover, FLEXX selected classes from over 100 educational sessions to learn even more about event production and new trends for 2018. We were able to take away new information in regards to our productivity and organizing our business to better manage our dollars and details, different communication techniques that will help us understand our team’s and client’s own styles further, as well as how to advance our content creation for our social media platforms.
We also had the chance to walk the tradeshow floor to take a look at new product, as well as connect with old and new colleagues alike. Kara was even able to snap a picture with her favorite celebrity actor, “Ryan Gosling”.
Being able to explore the city was also a bonus on this trip. We enjoyed walking around the infamous French Quarter…
…as well as up and down Bourbon Street listening to all of the live music. Our favorite part? Probably all of the great food this amazing city has to offer. Seriously – it’s some of the best food we’ve ever had!
We were a bit bummed that we just barely missed this city’s biggest event of their own – Mardi Gras! Oh well, guess we’ll just have to go back again! 😉
